After a fabulous growing season, we are delighted to report that the harvest will begin today – Friday 25 January!

The team in the Cape have been hard at work preparing for this very busy season. Yesterday, winemaker Jeremy Borg took a stroll through the Pinotage vines at Kasteelsig, our vineyard in the Swartland. He is ecstatic about the condition of the grapes which have enjoyed over 500mm of rain this summer. This compares to 320mm in 2011, so things are really looking excellent for this year’s grapes. A few days ago, the grapes were at 24.1 balling, so they are ready to be plucked from the vine and begin the long and gentle journey into your glass!
