We are having a month of madly dashing from tasting to tasting, meeting some fabulous new fans and spreading the Wild dog word in the Johannesburg area.

Jeremy has been up on Jo’burg since the Africa Cycle Fair event at the end of October. In the following weeks, he and Amanda have bounced from private tasting to corporate event like spring-loaded puppies.

The stand-outs included an evening at Adega, Bryanston, with diners sipping our wine with their seafood; and an afternoon spent at Wilderness Safaris head office. Wilderness Safaris is the company behind the Children in the Wilderness initiative, last mentioned when Jeremy rode the Tour de Tuli back in August.

Last weekend’s Food Wine Design event on the rooftop at Hyde Park Corner was a blast. We met scores of fabulous Jo’burg wine enthusiasts, Jeremy was interviewed by Jenny Crwys Williams on Friday and we received the coveted “Jenny Loves” emblem to display on our stand. Even highveld thundershowers on Saturday evening didn’t dampen spirits. Sippers just switched from cooling whites to warming reds and carried on enjoying the show.

It’s not over yet!

Coming up:

Tonight (Tuesday 11 November)

We will be pouring at the EWT’s Urban Safari evening.

When: from 5:30 pm tonight

Where: Higher Ground Restaurant at St. Stithians School  (entrance on Peter Place, Bryanston).

Who: Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

What: Wine tasting, snack nibbling, great conversation with like-minded individuals.

On Thursday we are off to a gathering of the cycling pack who are riding on behalf of the EWT in the Momentum 94.7 cycle challenge. We think they deserve a bit of wine as a pre-reward for pedaling for paws and claws.

Sunday 16 November – Momentum 947 cycle challenge

Jeremy will be pedaling with the pack on Sunday, so if you spot them on the route, give them a cheer and a wave, and sponsor their efforts to raise funds for critically endangered animals.

Saturday 22 November

Jeremy would have taken his cycling shorts back to the Cape and be geared up for the first Proe Paarl festival. Enjoy a day out with your friends and family:  come and have a taste of the best of Paarl.

We hope to see you at one of these events. Run with our pack, meet our people and taste our wines.
