Painting the town red (and silver)
A handful of our reds were winners at the recent International Wine and Spirit Awards.
Peloton Rouge 2013 (a predominantly Shiraz and Pinotage Cape Blend) won a Silver Outstanding in the Category: Syrah Dominated Red Blends. The other two Silver Outstanding awards went to the Den Pinotage 2014 and the Den Shiraz 2014.
Consistent performer, “Guillermo” Swartland Pinotage, was awarded a Silver. This 2013 vintage is not yet available. Don’t feel like you are missing out, though, as the 2012, which is still available, is the wine that got Jeremy shortlisted for the Diner’s Club Winemaker of the Year Award in 2015. The other Silver went to the Swartland Syrah 2013 from our Pack range of wines.
Both our Shiraz wines, are relatively new to their ranges, but are slowly and steadily picking up awards and accolades.
If you live in South Africa would like to go on a red exploration, get hold of our wine club organiser here, (you don’t have to join the club, but she can discuss your best options with you). If you are in another country, contact our local importers to discover where you can pick up these wines.
